Job Description

The Laboratory Assistant is responsible for working in the Laboratory Office or Rural Health Clinics in a safe, clean efficient, and an accurate manner.  Duties include: entering and distributing of all lab reports; answering the customer service calls for the office and Laboratory; helping with filing, specimen accessioning, and specimen entering; collecting blood specimens from patients of all ages; assisting/directing patients in the collection other specimen (urine, stool, etc.); processing specimens

QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Education:
      1. A high school diploma or GED
    2. Experience:
      1. At least one year prior experience in a medical office setting preferred.
      2. Telephone/messaging experience.
      3. Computer experience required.
      4. Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
    3. Licensure/Credentials:
      1. Washington State Department of Health Medical Assistant - Phlebotomist license.

SHIFT/ SALARY: Full Time, Monday $23.32- $37.26, DOE
