Utilization Management is the practice of evaluating and monitoring resources for appropriateness and ensuring the highest quality patient care is delivered. This position will be responsible for performing concurrent reviews of medical records, ensuring medical necessity and contribute to discharge planning. This position will work with the entire clinical and non-clinical team to obtain authorization and review documentation for medical necessity following MCG guidelines, and ensure appropriate forms are submitted in compliance with payor and facility requirements.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required. 2-3 years of experience working in a health setting preferred.  Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively.  Basic knowledge of computers, EPIC, MCG, and payor websites.  Comfortable having crucial conversations regarding payment options and patient responsibility.  Strong time management, organizational and planning skills, as well as coding knowledge.

Salary: $26.75-$40.24/hour DOE

Shift: M-F, 8am-4:30pm
