Informatics Coordinator
Job Description
Performs and provides administrative support services such as: reception - receiving, ascertaining needs, and problem solving. Designs and prepares documents, reports, spreadsheets and presentations for clinical informatics, board and regulatory surveyors. This position assists clinical informatics in arranging training and performance improvement of systems implemented/utilized. This position engages in significant interaction with physicians, clinical staff, vendors, support personnel, administration, peers, clients, and others to optimize the use of clinical systems through education and training, quality outcomes, and providing support in accordance with organizational goals.This position demonstrates professional communications, problem solving abilities, and resourcefulness supporting Clinical Informatics
Qualifications: Degree, Certification or course work in a technology related field or equivalent work experience desirable. High School Diploma or GED. A.A. Degree preferred. Informatics certification preferred. One year experience in technology related employment or able to demonstrate computer hardware and software troubleshooting expertise. Experience with various Windows operating systems is essential. Experience providing technology support over the telephone is desirable. Experience with Electronic Health Records or experience in a healthcare setting is desirable. Two years secretarial or informatics experience preferred. Knowledge of computer hardware, software and peripheral functions/operations. Detail oriented and able to multitask. Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally. Must have strong interpersonal skills. Ability to rapidly acquire new skills as necessary.
Salary: $29.52-$46.97, DOE, Non-union, non-exempt
Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
