Job Description

The Medical Assistant Certified performs those duties requested by the health care provider that are designated in RCW 18.360, Assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of Physician or Mid-Level Provider.  The Medical Assistant Registered performs those duties requested by the health care provider that are designated in RCW 18.360, Assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of Physician or Mid-Level Provider. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MA-C Certification: Must be eligible for Health Care Assistant Certification in State of Washington. Must obtain Medical Assistant Certification. Must obtain BLS within six months of employment.

MA-R Certification: Must hold and maintain Medical Assistant Registered certification in State of Washington. Must obtain Medical Assistant Certification or be enrolled in the Washington State Apprenticeship Program within 18 months of hire date. Must obtain BLS within six months of employment. MA-R that completes Apprenticeship program must sign a two-year commitment

Salary Range: MA-C: $21.05-$26.54/hr MA-R: $19.18-24.18/hr DOE
