Job Description

Provides direct and indirect resident care activities under the direction of RN or LPN. Assists residents with activities of daily living, provides for personal care, comfort and assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for assigned residents. This position will also assist the Activities Director in the organizing and the implementing of activity programs in accordance with current and existing federal, state and local standards, as well as our established policies and procedures: assist in activities that provide for the spiritual development, emotional, recreational and social needs of residents. Activities are conducted in groups and on an individual basis for selected residents. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Able to read and write Basic English, other languages preferred as well.
  2. Graduate of Certified Nursing Assistant Program.
  3. Washington State License for Certified Nursing Assistant
  4. One year long term care experience preferred and/or educational preparation in needs of the disabled or elderly.
  5. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds on a regular basis.
  6. Current CPR card within six months of employment
  7. Knowledge of social or recreational programs in a health care setting.
  8. Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
  9. Must demonstrate understanding of the social, psychological and recreational needs of the aged and/or disabled resident.
  10. Must be able to ambulate over uneven terrain.

Shift: Per Diem, Variable shifts

SALARY: $21.36 - $34.14/hour DOE
